Femme1231: Open for Business

June 26th, 2008

Femme1231 recently enjoyed its soft opening in The Shops at Atlas Park. A momentous day for both them and us: they’re the hot new fashion boutique opening among ritzy company in Atlas Park, and we’re responsible for all their branding and — for the first time — their interior design. Check out some photos and stay tuned for more when they celebrate their grand opening.

Evening! Of the Stars!

June 17th, 2008

We’re proud to have been a part of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Newark’s 20th annual gala, Evening of the Stars. It’s a huge event, the Prudential Center’s inaugural large fundraiser. We’re responsible for the entire design scheme, including all graphics, invitations, banners, booklets and more.

We’re thrilled that BGCN CEO Felix Rouse and the entire team invited us back to participate in such a successful event. American Idol winner Jordin Sparks even made an appearance before her concert in the arena that evening. Word on the street is that she was deeply honored and humbled to appear alongside Tritonic’s designs. Just a rumor. That we’re starting.

Give me a Colleoni.

June 16th, 2008

What do you get when you put together a sweet arena (with pro hockey and soccer teams), an amazing concert hall, a baseball stadium and “the handsomest creative agency in the whole world” (Thanks, Dre’s mom)? Answer: an awesome city.

Now we can add another entry to that list. Our favorite mayor Cory Booker just headlined the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Colleoni Apartments, the sparkling result of a renovation of what was an historic but run-down Lincoln Park building. Our friends at BCDC have been involved since the groundbreaking.

As designers, we wholeheartedly approve. The brick façade is sharp, and the modern art in the lobby starkly juxtaposes the antique moldings and fixtures and mosaic tiles, a classy marriage of past and present.

This development is yet another looking glass into Newark’s future, and we like what we see. We’d like to express our excitement by inventing The Colleoni, a new celebratory sandwich (Who wants it? Tasty Too?). It’s got pastrami, lettuce, tomato, onion, hot peppers and horseradish sauce, since everyone knows that Newark is a spicy place. Don’t knock it till you try one.
