Please don’t watch these robots talk about graphic design

October 21st, 2009

WARNING: Don’t watch these videos. They’re too profane. Lot’s of naughty words. Not for the little ones. And you won’t like them if you’re any of these people. Also they’re not at all representative of any feeling Tritonic has ever had about any of our clients. So haters of fiction should also steer clear. Oh, and if you have any strong feelings about robots (for, against, or extremely indifferent) you probably shouldn’t watch either. So please, nobody watch these videos. Everyone else can enjoy them like we did.

The Daily Freshness: Helvetica-tize Me

Helvetica. It’s more than a font: it’s a way of life. It’s a sharp, clean typeface that touches all of our lives far more than we realize (ever stop and think about typeface when you look at, say, a street sign?). Hell, there’s even a movie about it. Wait, I think it’s this one. In this cool project, graphic designer Micah Monserrat reimagines the logos of many social networks in Helvetica. Webdings proved too confusing.

The Daily Freshness: Abduzeedo

That’s right, Abduzeedo. You are probably thinking the first thing we did. Oohhhh a Genie or “God bless you” in some alien language. WRONG. Abduzeedo is a brilliant design blog created by Brazilian designer Fabio Sasso (is it coincidence that Brazilian and brilliant seem like the same word?). “Abduzido” means “abducted” (by design) in Portuguese, leaving our Portuguese ambassador Stef as the only one impervious to this language barrier. Once you get past the inevitable linguistics battle, you will realize that this blog provides continuous brilliance in web design and graphic design.
